We’re making Schnaps again :-) And this is how the fermentation is going on at the moment:
It was a nice but tiresome Saturday, this year we were able to make about 500l of elderberry-fermentation mixture. According to my dad, one gets from those 500l 15-20l of Schnaps after distilling it (that’s 4-5%).
The harvest was good, the mixture is now fermenting and we have big hopes for a good product in the end. For distilling we use a local professional one, we are only making the fermented barrels by ourselves. This is just a small hobby and a side-project.
